40 clove garlic chicken

I’m always eager to learn new chicken recipes . Chicken is definitely my go to weeknight dinner. So I decided to try out a 40 clove garlic chicken recipe and I used chicken thighs!

I know your probably wondering 40 cloves that’s a lot well that’s what I was thinking as well lol so I used about 20-25 but I honestly feel like if you used 40 it wouldn’t hurt or change the taste of the meal . So suite yourself 🙂

The ingredients needed for this recipe are

  1. 4 chicken thighs
  2. 40 garlic cloves
  3. 1tbs flour
  4. 2 tbs light brown sugar
  5. 3tbs heavy cream
  6. 1 1/2 cup good white wine
  7. 2 tsp lemon zest
  8. 1/2 tsp black pepper
  9. 1tsp salt
  10. 1 tbs honey
  11. 3 sprigs thyme
  12. Parsley flakes red pepper flakes & lemon wedges for serving

Start by seasoning the chicken with salt pepper . I also used garlic powder mustard and adobo but season your chicken to your preference

While you season chicken preheat oven to 400 degrees and in a cast iron pan add 2 tbs butter and brown chicken thighs about 4 minutes per side then remove chicken and set aside.

Melt 1 extra tbs butter in skillet and add garlic cloves tossing frequently until slightly browned.

Add wine to pan scraping up bits at bottom of skillet to get everything incorporated. Then stir in brown sugar honey and thyme then add chicken thighs back to skillet .

Place in oven roast till done 35 min with an internal temp of 165 degrees. Remove chicken from pan and stir in flour and heavy cream then the lemon zest. Allow sauce to come to a boil if it appears too thick add more white wine. Serve with garlic mashed potatoes or roasted potatoes garnish with parsley and lemons
