Jerk shrimp Salad

So… every other month or two I find myself saying that I want to get back on a diet an try my hardest to lose this stomach. it usually last for about 3 weeks then I give up but this time around I’m going to push for at least 4 weeks or further (wish me luck)

I decided to make a jerk shrimp salad and I had just bought some marinated mozzarella cheese from the market so I thought why not add it to the salad as well. So if your on a diet or your in the mood for a good salad get your pen and paper ready to take NOTES!

For this salad you will need:

  1. Half a pound shrimp
  2. Tsp of “walkers wood” mild jerk sauce
  3. 1 tomato
  4. Half of one cucumber
  5. Quarter inch of the marinated mozzarella or a tbs of your preferred shredded cheese
  6. Half tsp garlic powder
  7. Half tsp onion powder
  8. Half a can sweet kernel corn
  9. Half a bag butter lettuce
  10. Dash of Italian seasoning for garnish

In a deep bowl after shrimps are cleaned and deveined add them and the jerk sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder.Add a tsp olive oil and combine. Set your oven to 380 degrees farenheight. In a foil lined sheet pan cook the shrimps for about 20-24 min till they turn opaque.

in a salad bowl place lettuce on bottom chop up your tomato, cucumber, mozzarella cheese and add a little garlic powder and onion powder to corn. Assemble your salad with the shrimp then the vegetables and cheese. Sprinkle some Italian seasoning on top & drizzle some olive oil and your done!
