In college I was introduced to box Goya rice I thought it was the BEST and easiest to make this worked best for me. Until..I learned how to make yellow rice from scratch.
I haven’t used box rice in years and I’m so proud to say it lol I’m going to share this recipe with you guys hope you all love it too.
The ingredients for this recipe are
- 2 cups parboiled rice
- 3 and 1/2 cups water
- 1 tbs adobo
- 1 tsp crushed garlic
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Half tbs bijol seasoning
- 1 tsp onion powder

Start with rinsing off rice till water runs clear and not cloudy

In a pot with a tight lid add olive oil to cover bottom of pan then add the garlic,cook about a minute be careful to not burn it. Then add the rice and mix 
Coat the rice with olive oil and garlic mixture then add all the seasonings and mix allow the rice the fry a little about 2 min then add the water to pot. 

With the heat on medium high allow rice to boil till you no longer see water on top then reduce heat to low and cover for about 15 more min and that’s it !

You can pair your homemade rice with anything from chicken,seafood,tacos,Rice bowls whatever you desire and I promise you you’ll never eat box rice again
