I recently had an event to cater for and per request I was required to make cute appetizer size dishes. One of them was stuffed meatballs (YUMMY) with ooey gooey cheese dropping out and a delicious marinara sauce.
They came out so good but I wasn’t able to take any pics of the food I made so now I’m making them again lol. So let’s get right into it
To make these meatballs you will need
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 and a half jars marinara sauce
- 1 package of mozzarella pearls
- Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- parmesan cheese
- parsley flakes
- 2 tsp adobo
- pinch of black pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Start by placing the ground beef in a deep bowl and add all ingredients except for the mozzarella pearls. Gently mixing but not over mixing or else your meatballs will come out hard.
With a lined sheet tray sprayed with PAM begin forming meatballs and placing them on rack on top of tray. In the palm of your hand flatten center of meatballs and place 1 to 2 mozzarella pearls and fold the meatball over it to seal them inside. In the mean time heat oven to 350 degrees.
Now the meatballs are ready for the oven. Place them on the row in the middle of your oven and bake for 28-30 minutes checking often based on your oven type. while the meatballs are in the oven you can start heating up your marinara sauce. I used a Whole Foods brand sauce it was perfect just added a little herbs and Pepper and let it heat up on the stove.
When your meatballs are done you might see some cheese peaking out but thats fine the more the merrier.

Now time to start plating your meatballs. Place the marinara sauce down on te=he plate first then the meatball then top with parmesan cheese add basil or parsley if desired and your all done. Hope you guys Enjoyed!!!!
